Strategic People Experience Business Partner
If you're an experienced HR Business Partner who enjoys working alongside senior leaders to solve complex organisational challenges, influence strategic direction, and help build high-performing organisations, we'd love to hear from you.
This is an opportunity to step beyond operational HR and partner directly with Deputy Secretaries and senior leadership teams to shape workforce strategy, strengthen leadership capability, and enable organisational success.
Te Haeata | The Opportunity
As a Strategic People Experience Business Partner, you'll be a trusted advisor to senior leaders, helping them deliver the Ministry's strategic priorities through their people.
You'll develop a deep understanding of your business group's strategic direction and operating environment, translating business priorities into practical people strategies that strengthen organisational performance.
You'll partner with leaders on strategic workforce planning, leadership, organisational capability, culture, talent and organisational change, using data and insight to influence decisions and address future workforce challenges.
This is a highly collaborative role where you'll work alongside senior leaders, People Experience specialists and other enabling functions to solve complex business challenges and deliver meaningful outcomes for our people.
This role will suit someone who:
- Has significant experience in partnering with senior leaders and leadership teams.
- Thinks strategically and can translate organisational priorities into practical people solutions.
- Brings expertise across workforce planning, leadership development, organisational change and organisational capability.
- Uses data and evidence to provide sound, pragmatic advice.
- Builds trusted relationships quickly and confidently challenges thinking when needed.

Utu ā-tau | Salary
The appointing salary for this role is between $112,766 and $145,388, depending on skills and experience.
