Job Description
Te Haeata/The Opportunity
Lead the data enablement function for Te Au Reka, one of the Ministry of Justice's largest digital transformation programmes. Reporting to the Digital Programme Director, Te Au Reka Services, you will provide strategic leadership across data quality, governance, migration, reporting and analytics, ensuring trusted data supports operational performance, regulatory obligations and better decision-making. This role leads a team of specialists and works closely with programme teams, vendors, technical experts and senior business stakeholders to deliver sustainable data outcomes.
In this role you will:
- Lead data strategy, governance and enablement across Te Au Reka
- Drive data quality, validation, reconciliation and migration assurance
- Provide oversight of data-related delivery, risks and design decisions
- Build reporting, analytics and insights capability for business outcomes
- Coach and develop a high-performing team and data culture
- Influence senior stakeholders and vendors across complex programme delivery

- Bring an understanding of te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application in practice

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The remuneration band for this role is ICT6 - $128,427 to $176,789. The appointing salary will be based on skills and experience.
