Library Assistant – Auckland, Permanent full time
Te Haeata/The Opportunity
A vacancy has arisen within the Judicial Libraries team. The Library Assistant position is a permanent position of 40 hours per week, based in the various Courts in Auckland.
Library assistants provide direct support to Judicial Libraries staff delivering efficient and cost-effective library and information services to the judiciary and the Ministry. The primary focus of this role is assisting the Senior Librarian and Court Librarians to support the judges, judicial support staff, and court staff in the Auckland Courts.
Primary tasks include:
- Assisting in producing current awareness and alert services
- Document supply and information requests
- Receiving and processing serials and texts
- Filing, loose-leaf updating, and shelving
- Providing support to the Senior Librarian, Court Librarians and other members of the Judicial Libraries team as required

Previous experience as a library assistant would be desirable, as would current study toward a library qualification.

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The remuneration band for this role is $56,343 to $74,416 – the appointing salary will be based on skills and experience.
