Te Haeata/The Opportunity
The Manager, Te Au Reka Programme Management will provide thought leadership to the Programme Investment and Management workstream in the Te Au Reka team. This role will be responsible for managing the smooth day-to-day operation of the Te Au Reka business group, the development of project/programme management deliverables, and quality assurance activities for the Programme and business group. This will include leading the development of programme management plans and registers, business cases, official and ministerial correspondence, and working closely with the Programme Coordination team to provide regular reporting and updates to Te Au Reka and Ministry governance groups, senior leaders, the judiciary, and other stakeholders.
As the Manager, Te Au Reka Programme Management, your leadership style will deliver results by translating strategy into action. You will be responsible for leading and supporting the development of your team, and will have excellent risk and issue management skills, a flexible approach, and a solid understanding of project management methodologies. You and your team will provide support across a broad range of topics and issues that relate to the operation and management of the business group and Te Au Reka Programme. You will also work closely with the suppliers on the development of programme management artifacts, collateral and processes.
Ō pūkenga/Skills and Experience
To be successful in this position you will have:
- leadership experience in a project or programme environment, including proven knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies
- experience leading and coordinating responses to judicial, ministerial and official correspondence
- experience working in a fast-paced environment, where you were required to influence and respond to changing needs and priorities
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- a proven record of building and maintaining strong networks and stakeholder relationships
- a strong understanding of the machinery of government (including Ministers' offices, ministerial and government processes)
- a willingness to be a team player, and to contribute to delivering Programme outcomes of a high standard.

Utu ā-tau/Salary
Salary Range: The appointing salary for this role is between $148,972 and $206,570, with the likely appointing salary between $148,972 and $192,782 based on skills and experience.
