The Ministry of Justice are seeking a Court Registry Support Officer to join our team in the Wellington District Court on a permanent full-time basis. The responsibilities of Support Officers help the courts operate timely and effectively, this is a pivotal role for the Ministry.
As a Court Registry Support Officer, you support the day-to-day operations of the court by supporting the administration function and providing customer service. Your day will involve you engaging with our participants, including Lawyers, Judges, and the public – whether it be over the phone or face to face. You'll work closely with Court Registry Officers and support them while they take Court and manage case files.
Your tasks include but are not limited to:
- providing timely and efficient customer service
- supporting Judges and Court Registry Officers both in and out of the courtroom
- introducing Judges/judicial officers into court (in both English and Te Reo Maori)
- support the jury service function and the jurors themselves in court trials.
- providing general administrative support for Court Registry Officers, including photocopying, scanning and filing
- managing the incoming and outgoing mail
- managing evidence exhibits
- data entry
- provide support and advice to our diverse customer base.

To be successful in this role you will have proven customer service experience. You will need to be confident, able to multi-task, flexible and adapt to change with ease. You'll also enjoy a challenge and be motivated to learn.

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The appointing salary for this role will be between $54,343 and $74,416 based on skills and experience.
