We are seeking a fulltime permanent Senior Accounts Advisor to join our high performing Transactional Services team in Hamilton.
In this role, you will assit with the overseeing of the day-to-day operations of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring efficient and accurate processing. You will play a key role in maintaining strong internal controls—particularly around sensitive expenditure—and act as the primary point of contact for complex financial queries. You will support the Team Leader in mentoring and developing the team by providing training, guidance, and support to team members in both Hamilton and Wellington.
We are looking for someone who has a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, has a willingness to learn new things and are prepared to take on extra responsibility to increase business process efficiency.

To be successful in this role you will:
- sound knowledge of fundamental accounting
- attention to detail and high level of accuracy, along with proven written and oral communication skills
- demonstrated experience within the public sector or large complex environment with the ability to influence key stakeholders
- ability to mange multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- a self-starter, with the ability to use initiative, pre-empt information requests and be approachable with a can-do attitude.
- a commitment to building Māori capability - both personally and within the team.

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The appointing salary for this role will be between $60,066 and $90,008 based on skills and experience.
