Te Haeata/The Opportunity
We are looking for a driven and customer focused Senior HR Advisor to work closely and in partnership with internal customers.
You will be responsible for providing high quality advice to people leaders across the employee lifecycle, including a wide range of ER case work. You will also work with people leaders to develop their own people management skills and proactively identify areas to add value.
The successful applicant will have a proven track record of high-level HR delivery and will possess the superior technical, interpersonal, and influencing skills necessary to help continue the development of an evolving and exciting culture.

Perfect for a talented generalist with strong ER experience that genuinely cares about its people and their community. You will be someone who can take the initiative in a fast paced and busy environment.
Reporting to the Manager, Business Partnering and working closely with people leaders you will be able to:
- communicate with impact, build and maintain strong relationships and influence others to deliver great outcomes for our people
- influence others and constructively challenge
- take the lead on advising the business on employment relations issues (e.g. misconduct, performance, sick leave and change management)
- coach and build the capability of frontline leaders on HR matters
- work across the PX team to deliver on key initiatives
- take a lead role in developing PX advisors
Ō pūkenga/Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, we are looking for you to have:
- Experience working at a Senior Advisor level providing generalist HR advice to leaders
- Experience managing a range of Employment Relations issues independently
- Ability to support organisational change projects
- A good understanding of the machinery of government
- Ability to develop relationships and working closely with both internal and external stakeholders)
- A commitment to honouring our responsibility to Māori and building your own māori capability

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The appointing salary for this role will be between $97,208 and $135,539 based on skills and experience.
