Te whiwhinga mahi/The Opportunity
As a Test Analyst in the Te Wheke team, you will be responsible for the test planning, design, and execution of testing for products, services, and projects. Test Analysts work closely with Test Managers, Technical Product Leads, and Business Managers to ensure that effective and efficient acceptance testing occurs to provide business stakeholders with confidence in the delivered solution. You will be responsible for validating APIs created as part of our transition from an Oracle SOA implementation to Azure API Management (APIM) ensuring seamless integration and high-quality API performance.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in API testing, preferably with Azure APIM and Oracle SOA.
- Proficiency in using testing tools such as Postman, GITHUB and Azure DevOps.
- Strong understanding of API protocols (REST, SOAP) and authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Skills you will need to succeed:
- Experience across both automated and manual testing frameworks.
- Extensive understanding of a wide range of testing methods and processes covering; regression testing, UAT, smoke testing, system testing, performance testing, functional testing, and unit testing.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with the role automation plays in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with configuring and using CI/CD solutions (e.g. Azure DevOps, GIT Hub Actions).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a demonstrated approach to problem-solving.
- Proficiency in testing at data, systems, and UI levels.
- Prior experience with Postman, SoapUI tools.
You will also have:
- More than 3 years' experience as a Tester creating test plans, test scripting and test execution.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in Agile frameworks.
- Some technical skills such as test automation.

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The appointing salary for this role will be between $80,770 and $112,332 based on skills and experience.
