Library Assistant- Auckland District Court
1 x Permanent, Part-Time Position(20 hours per week)
Te whiwhinga mahi/The Opportunity
Library assistants provide direct support to Judicial Libraries staff delivering efficient and cost-effective library and information services to the judiciary and the Ministry. The primary focus of this role is assisting the Court Librarian to support the judges, judicial support staff, and court staff in the central Auckland.
Primary tasks include:
- Assisting in producing current awareness and alert services
- Document supply and information requests
- Receiving and processing serials and texts
- Filing, loose-leaf updating, and shelving
- Providing support to the Court Librarian and other members of the Judicial Libraries team as required

It will be important for you to demonstrate:
- An excellent service ethic.
- An ability to work with a wide range of clients, including the judiciary and Ministry staff.
- Flexibility and adaptability.
- Attention to detail.
Previous experience as a law library assistant would be desirable, as would current study toward a law degree or library qualification.

Utu ā-tau/Salary
Salary Range: The appointing salary for this role will be between $52,343 and $67,130 based on skills and experience.
