Te whiwhinga mahi/The Opportunity
The Ministry is adopting Microsoft 365, specifically SharePoint and Teams, for management of its business information. We are seeking an M365 SharePoint champion to join our growing Information and Library Services team, as an Information Advisor, to help support use of these systems.
As an Information Advisor, you are responsible for advice, guidance, training and support for information management (IM) activities across the Ministry. You'll also provide operational IM advice and support for courts.
You will be required to:
- Advise and support a wide range of people and teams to manage information, including how to get the most out of the Ministry's knowledge and information management systems.
- Administer and support use of IM systems and processes, including best practice guidance for organising information, configuration of IM controls, and access permissions.
- Support IM activities and initiatives to deliver continuous improvement for the Ministry, for both digital and paper records.
- Develop operational advice and guidance for managing Ministry information.
- Facilitate the use of services provided by our off-site storage vendor, including disposal, transfer and retrieval of information.
- Build positive relationships and engage with internal and external stakeholders.
This role is permanent full time.

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have at least 2 years' experience administering and supporting use of knowledge and information management systems.
- Have working knowledge of the Public Records Act 2005 and relevant standards.
- Be enthusiastic about a career in Information Management, and commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Be able to work independently and part of a team.
- Be committed to the principles of te Tiriti o Waitangi.
Experience managing information using M365 SharePoint would also be an advantage.

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The appointing salary for this role will be between $78,418- $109,060 based on skills and experience.
