Te āhuatunga a te tūranga/About the Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for someone who has practical project, leadership and coaching skills, great relationship management skills and an interest in leading a work programme to support third party providers to deliver people-centred justice services.
You will lead one of four teams in the Provider and Community Services unit, which is responsible for Ministry of Justice contracts with community-based services, such as family violence services, victims' services, restorative justice, family justice services, community law centres, the Public Trust, and coronial services.
You will lead a team that is responsible for building internal capability in family violence and sexual violence, and cultural competency, as well as looking at the way we commission, procure and support justice services delivered by third-party providers. Your team will lead our response to the broader government priorities including Social Sector Commissioning, and the experience of victims within the justice system.
You will ensure that appropriate project controls are in place and support the integration of resource from the broader unit in the informal project teams that are set up.

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following:
- A demonstrated ability to lead people and ensure the seamless delivery of projects within a BAU environment
- Strong relationship management skills with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders and influence a range of audiences
- Political astuteness, with a good understanding of the machinery of government
- Demonstrated understanding of social commissioning, procurement and contracting, Government rules of sourcing, and working with non-government and community providers
- Understanding of te Tiriti o Waitangi and how it relates to how we think about service delivery.

Salary for this role starts at $139,662- 197,170 depending on skills and experience.
