Permanent Position - Executive Support to the Group Manager, Senior Courts

We are recruiting for a proactive, experienced and effective Executive Support to join a high performing team, led by the Group Manager, Senior Courts.
Te āhuatunga a te tūranga/About the Role
The Executive Support role provides comprehensive support to the Group Manager, Senior Courts.
This is a busy and challenging role – no two days are the same - and this role is an integral part in the effective operation of the wider Senior Courts group. The successful applicant will have wide-ranging experience working in an environment where you are required to respond to changing needs and priorities.
You'll need to be able to communicate and engage successfully with people at various levels within the organisation. You'll also need to be highly self-motivated, well organised and display a common-sense approach to enable you to work with minimal supervision.
Ngā mahi me ngā haepapa/Duties:
- Provide effective and efficient executive support to the Group Manager, including diary management, email management, travel bookings and day packs
- Establish and maintain effective office management systems and processes for the Operations Manager, the Court Managers and their direct reports and broader teams
He pūkenga tou/Skills and Experience
To be successful in the role:
- National Certificate in Business Administration (Level 4) or other relevant qualification, or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience and a commitment to ongoing professional development
- High degree of computer literacy
- Positive and proactive approach
- Excellent attention to detail and recall of information
- A genuine interest in the work of the courts and an ability to continuously proactively allocate tasks and to support the Operations Manager and the Court Managers to manage their workload
- Well-developed written communication and editing skills
- A strong team player, used to working in an environment where collective high performance and success of the wider team are crucial

The Senior Courts group is responsible for the delivery of high-quality registry services in the Court of Appeal of New Zealand and the High Court of New Zealand.
Its registries and staff include:
- Court of Appeal
- High Court sole registries in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch
- Combined High and District Court registries in: Whangarei, Hamilton, Tauranga, Rotorua, Gisborne, Napier, New Plymouth, Whanganui, Palmerston North, Masterton, Nelson, Blenheim, Timaru, Greymouth, Dunedin and Invercargill
These registries, and the Group Manager, are supported by the Senior Courts Operations Support team at National Office.
The Senior Courts group is part of the larger Operations and Service Delivery (OSD) Group.

Salary Range: The remuneration band for this role is $50,128 to $70,768 – while the appointing salary will be based on skills and experience, we are willing to pay higher in the band to attract strong candidates into this role.
