With our current Accounts Officer, moving into another opportunity within the Ministry we need someone to take over the reins.
The Accounts Officer provides a range of accounting services to support the Financial Accounting team to achieve their work programme. They will be responsible for processing the financial documents and transactions relating to bank reconciliations, supplier payments and receipts, and debt collection. They will also contribute to the completion of monthly, annual and other financial reports.
The following experience and attributes are essential to be successful in this role:
- Relevant tertiary degree or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- High degree of computer literacy, including intermediate knowledge of email software, MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and using an information system
- Knowledge of accounting processes for processing receipts, online banking transactions, and bank reconciliations
The Accounts Officer will be part of a high performing team of finance professionals that strive to provide excellent financial services and are trusted, work collaboratively across the Ministry and provide advice beyond the numbers. Therefore a proven ability to build strong relationships and to work collaboratively, with good written and verbal communication skills are a must.
Salary range: $43,931 - $62,020
