Now is an exciting time in the Justice Sector. We are creating a new behavioural insights team that will operate across multiple agencies.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced manager to establish and lead the team to deliver a series of projects using a behavioural insights methodology. The role is multifaceted and includes a blend of strategic leadership, change management, and improving operations, services and policy through the application of behavioural science and robust evaluation.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Strategic leadership experience within a complex public or private sector environment including establishing a new team, service or programme.
- The capacity to manage relationships and drive cohesion across a complex stakeholder environment.
- Experience working within the public sector and knowledge of the Justice Sector would be an advantage.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and make quality decisions in a dynamic and challenging setting.
The Justice Sector is made up of Ministry of Justice, New Zealand Police, Department of Corrections, Oranga Tamariki—Ministry for Children, Crown Law Office, Serious Fraud Office all working together to make New Zealand safer and deliver better outcomes for all New Zealanders.

The salary range for this role is J9 ($114,785 - $162,050).
