Team Member – Māori Land Court, Hastings

This is an important position in the Tākitimu Māori Land Court that requires knowledge and understanding of the relevant legislation and judicial processes. This is ideal but not essential.
Your primary role will be the provision of a Court Support role. You will be responsible for supporting the Judiciary and clerking our Court hearings. Liaise with parties to compile Pānui and schedule cases within appropriate timeframes. Prior to hearings ensure that case / applications files are in order and meet standardised format and ensure all documents are filed and accurate submissions provided where necessary. Transcription of Court audio and reviewing quality of Court minutes is an essential part of the role.
You will work within a vibrant team that works closely with internal staff, external stakeholders and the judiciary. You will ensure our customers understand Court processes and are assisted to progress their applications.
Some travel is required so a full clean New Zealand driver's license is required. Proficiency in Te Reo Māori and the ability to apply tikanga Māori in the work place is desirable.

This is a permanent full time position located in Hastings. The salary range is $48,368 - $68,284.
