We are looking for a motivated and reliable Receptionist/ Administration Assistant to join our team in our Manukau office. You will be joining an experienced and supportive team with around 65 legal and support staff who have a genuine interest in sharing knowledge in a busy and sometimes challenging environment.
The Public Defence Service (PDS) is New Zealand's largest criminal law practice, providing high quality legal advice and representation in a full range of criminal cases. Aimed at helping people access justice, the PDS promotes the values of respect, integrity, service and the delivery of excellent service to its clients.

As the first point of contact for our office you will need to be personable and well presented. The role is busy and your key tasks will include all reception duties, answering phone calls from clients, lawyers, courts staff and Legal Aid, dealing with a busy inbox, opening client files, photo copying and data entry.
Whilst you may have already gained some experience in a professional environment that is customer driven, and been involved in general office administration tasks. This is a chance for you to get in at the 'ground floor' and establish a great career path for yourself.
As a key team member at the PDS you will have access to a very successful three-month induction programme for PDS administration staff. You will also be able to attend monthly training sessions.
Salary will depend on skills and experience and ranges from $42,774 and $50,787
