Library Assistant – District Court, Rotorua

A vacancy has arisen within the Judicial Libraries team. The Library Assistant position is a permanent part-time position of 5 hours per week, based in the Rotorua District Court. However, some travel is required to Taupo, Tokoroa and Whakatane, so the chosen applicant must have a valid full driver's license.
Library assistants provide direct support to the librarians who provide an efficient and cost effective library and information service to the judiciary and the Ministry. The primary focus is on the judges, judicial support and court staff of the High Court.
Primary tasks include:
- Assisting the librarian in producing current awareness and alert services
- Document supply and information requests
- Filing, loose-leaf updating and shelving of materials
- Generally supporting the librarian in their managing of the library function and resources.
Previous experience as a law library assistant or recent completion of an information qualification (MIS or similar) is desirable.
Salary range: $42,744 - $46,512.
