The Ministry of Justice provides a range of justice services around New Zealand. We have more than 3,500 people working across 120 locations around the country, all working towards our vision of a safe and just New Zealand.
We are currently seeking an HR Advisor to join our HR Advisory team to cover for a team member working on a project.
About the team and the role:
The HR Advisory Services team works at the heart of the Ministry's operational HR team. Working on a range of issues and challenges, your advice will span all HR policies, processes and practices including (but not limited to) - recruitment and selection, performance management, sickness management, leave entitlements and employee development. This is an awesome role where you'll gain exposure to lots of different parts of our business by working alongside our Senior HR Business Partners and HR Relationship Managers on HR projects and cases.
We've recently introduced a new way of working to support our growing service. We're looking for an energetic HR professional who can help to drive our new way of working by bringing a strong customer-service mindset, a focus on continuous improvement, and excellent problem solving skills.
This is a 12-month fixed term position based in our National Office in Wellington. The salary range for the role is $54,896 - $74,270.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Excellent judgement and problem solving skills
- Strong attention to detail, enthusiasm, and a great attitude
- A high level of computer literacy or previous experience using an IT-based HR platform
