Senior Research Analyst, Waitangi Tribunal, Wellington
The Waitangi Tribunal inquires into Treaty claims through a broad range of inquiry programmes and processes. The Senior Research Analyst, within the Waitangi Tribunal Unit, is responsible for leading and contributing to the planning and delivery of large-scale, complex commission of inquiry processes and projects and providing high quality research services in support of the Waitangi Tribunal's inquiry programme and strategic direction.
Applications are encouraged from those with broad and in-depth professional and intellectual knowledge of research methodology and a proven track record of delivering complex research assignments. Strong analytical skills and knowledge of, and expertise in, New Zealand history, public policy or law will also be advantageous.
Senior Research Analysts will need to be able to work effectively in inquiry teams including mentoring and coaching other employees. Excellent interpersonal relationship skills are therefore required.
Strong candidates will also have an understanding of, and commitment to, the work of the Waitangi Tribunal including knowledge of te reo, tikanga and mātauranga Māori.
Salary band: $75,315 - $101,897.
