Team Manager, Operations Support
Courts & Tribunals Regional Service Delivery
Operations and Service Delivery Group (OSD) is responsible for delivering services to the Ministry's customers through the Courts and Tribunals. The group works collaboratively, harnessing our collective strength to deliver, modern, accessible, people-centred justice services in a consistent manner for customers, regardless of where or how they interact with us.
Courts and Tribunals Regional Service Delivery provides face-to-face service delivery through four regions. This team includes services provided to all courts and tribunals across New Zealand, with the exception of the Senior Courts.
Reporting to the Manager, Operations Support, the Team Manager will lead and coach a team of advisors, analysts and specialists to deliver day to day operational support.
You will be responsible for creating a culture that focuses on the customer, continuous improvement and standardisation, accountability and staff engagement. A key focus of the role is to lead the implementation of small and quick fix business and service improvement initiatives, including knowledge base maintenance, intranet and external website updates, supporting jurisdictional Process Reference Groups, focusing on data quality and establishing and maintaining appropriate and effective internal and external relationships.
The team also supports frontline staff with general queries and responsibility for developing briefings and official correspondence, such as, Official Information Act requests (OIAs), and Parliamentary questions (PQs).
The Team Manager will work collaboratively within OSD and the wider-Ministry to implement business and service delivery initiatives.
To be successful in this position you will need
- working knowledge of courts and tribunals would be advantageous
- experience in service delivery and process implementation
- have experience in a government organisation with a good understanding of the machinery of government
- exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including communicating with a wide range of audiences on complex issues
- a good understanding of and experience preparing and reviewing official and ministerial correspondence
